ERGO and UniCredit Bank set to open first joint branch
On 1 October ERGO Kindlustus and the Estonian subsidiary of AS "UniCredit Bank" will be opening a joint branch at Liivalaia 13/15 in Tallinn – a first in the partnership between the two companies.
According to the companies, the branch will have a spacious and contemporary service area for both private and business clients. Clients will be able to visit the Liivalaia branch for insurance and pension advice and to obtain property, travel, vehicle and life insurance policies and 2nd pillar pensionē agreements. AS "UniCredit Bank" also offers financial services for businesses.
The management of the UniCredit Group approved the expansion of the
partnership agreement between Munich Re and the ERGO Insurance Group into the Central and Eastern European region in May 2007 and set long-term partnership relations as its goal.
Marek Zacek, a member of the board of ERGO Kindlustus, sees huge potential in working with AS "UniCredit Bank". “The Liivalaia branch is the first result of our hard work together, and it has earned the attention of both of our companies’ headquarters, in Dusseldorf and Milan,” he explained. “It gives us faith that it is the kind of business model that could work in other countries where ERGO and UniCredit Group operate too. Under one roof we will be
able to offer added value to clients of both companies, because financing and insuring business operations form a natural whole. And if AS "UniCredit Bank" decides to expand its operations in Estonia to the private client market, we will be more than happy to work with them.”
Taavi Laur, General manager of the Estonian subsidiary of AS "UniCredit Bank", says that taking into account the similarities that exist between ERGO and the UniCredit Group’s home markets, working with ERGO enables them to provide their clients with a broader range of financial service solutions both in Estonia and at the international level. “As an international bank in Estonia serving businesses we are often required to offer our clients different individual solutions in 22 countries over Europe,” Laur said.
The branch will be open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
The Liivalaia branch is ERGO’s 19th in Tallinn and Harju County. The company has a total of 53 branches across Estonia, representing the broadest networkof any insurer in the country.
The Estonian subsidiary of AS "UniCredit Bank" belongs to the UniCredit Group, one of Europe’s leading financial groups, serving over 40 million clients through 10,000 branches in 22 countries. In Estonia the company operates as a corporate bank, as a partner to growing Estonian businesses.
ERGO in Estonia offers a complete range of life, health and pension
insurance options. It serves 140,000 clients in Estonia, which makes it the second largest company of its kind on the non-life insurance market.
