UniCredit gives 1 million euro to earthquake victims in Italy
 
UniCredit launched a fund-raising initiative among 170,000 employees in all 22 countries where the Group operates, including Estonia.
 
The Italian-rooted UniCredit Group is close to the people affected by the earthquake in Abruzzo in April and has allocated over 15 million kroons (1 million euro) to help the region.
 
Within the solidarity initiative, the Group alsos invited its 170,000 employees, in the 22 countries where it operates, to collaborate by donating an amount equivalent to one hour’s gross salary as further help.
 
UniCredit is ready to coordinate its own efforts with those of the Italian banking system and social welfare organisations.
